Riverside Medical
Center
New Emergency Department and Ambulatory
Admissions Center Addition
The scope of this project for
Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton was a re-orientation of the existing hospital Admitting center and a new state of the art
Emergency Department.
This addition to the existing facility allowed for the hospital to remain operational during construction and plan for the future of Health Care in western Washington Parish.

The new Emergency Department has four Trauma bays with central orbiters, isolated Decontamination unit, two station Triage, six Minor care rooms, Isolation and Cardiac units, and a central Nursing core.
The adjacent inpatient Admitting center includes six work stations with patient interview areas, waiting and lobby functions, storage and clerical space, and a new central ambulatory corridor that will connect the existing facility to the new construction.

A
new, small Cardio-Pulmonary suite completed the original program.
This project was completed in October 2003 and the projected cost of all phases of construction is approximately $2.8 million.
