First Baptist Church - Covington The congregation of First Baptist Church Covington, voted to move from their current site in downtown Covington to a 43-acre tract it had purchased at the intersection of Highway 1085 and Bricker Road, off Highway 21. Fauntleroy & Latham, Inc. was commissioned by the Building Ministry Team of First Baptist Church for the design and construction of Phase-1, which will relocate all functions of the church to the new location. Phase-I consists of a multi-use interim Worship Center with a seating capacity of 1,300 and support space for 1,000 in Sunday School with associated parking for 1,000 cars. The Phase-I facility is approximately 90,000 square feet and bid at $9,848,000. As of March 2001, construction has been completed with the first Sunday worship held March 18, 2001.
